We took time to fill up the truck at the little corner market, because we hit the road again tomorrow. And now Brad is being the chef today, smoking us a pork roast for dinner.
While we sit outside and enjoy the wonderful aroma, Brad is entertaining me.
I'm just relaxing and providing backup vocals.
This is our view. This has been a very peaceful place, when we've sat still long enough to enjoy it. Not really any place to walk to from here, but we've sure enjoyed exploring the area.
Here's his pork roast, just getting started. He usually doesn't season it at all, just lets it soak up the great hickory flavor, and it's always really good. This morning though, I snuck some dry rub on it and let it sit all morning. We'll see how that tastes.
In progress...
And done! It was really yummy. The rub really changed the flavor... Different from the hickory flavor. Both very good. We may keep alternating between the two.
Nothing is as satisfying as sore glutes.
