High Chaparral RV Park, Casa Grande AZ

We traveled from Cameron AZ, to Casa Grande today, and will be here for 2 days. Why Casa Grande? Well, because it was a nice 4 hour drive from Cameron.  Why 2 nights?  Because we've discovered we don't like traveling several consecutive days, so we try to stay at least 2 days when we can.

Boy, Phoenix was a bugger to get through!  So big!  We are just south of the Phoenix area.  Very brown, very flat.  We've gone down several thousand feet in elevation today.

We did see this sign today... Okay, donkey crossing, apparently.  This is another new one!
North of Phoenix, we saw lots of Seguaro cactus along the road.  I don't know why this tickles me so much... Maybe from Roadrunner cartoons.
I used to draw these as a kid... Except they always had exactly 2 arms, with one higher than the other. Like this:
Our park is nothing fancy, but very neat and clean and orderly, with a 24 hour pool, which we are going to check out later.  Lots of full-time residents here, but those spots are kept very neat and clean and tidy... It's not always that way.
There we are!
Some pretty palm trees.
At the entrance:
We're waaaaay down there.
We're close to the office, so wifi is great, and also right next to the pool.  We'll check out the area around Casa Grande tomorrow.
