First full day at Keaton Beach

When we got up this morning, it was looking a little rainy, but for the most part, it has held off.  Brad went out in his kayak to fish first thing.

There he is, waaaaaay out there.

The man in the RV next to us was fishing from the dock, and after a few minutes I heard Brad and him talking to each other, but I couldn't understand what they were saying.  Pretty soon, Brad was coming back in.  I was surprised because he hadn't been out very long.  Turns out, what the man was saying to Brad was, "Look behind you!!!" and when Brad did, he saw a big shark fin about 50 ft away... So he decided it was time to come out of the water!

After a bit, he wanted to go back out, but he stayed much closer to shore!

The seagulls were keeping watch for him.

There are some old posts in the water next to the dock, and someone has dressed them up.

After lunch, we both took our kayaks out and explored the canals that go through town.

Of course it started to rain just as we got to the canals, but we waited it out under this bridge.  It only lasted about 5 minutes.

The Pelicans crack me up!

This bird was pretty funny too... "Hi Honey, I'm home!"

I think this was my favorite house along the canals.

We took the dogs for a walk after that, and now Brad is going out to fish again.  He's trying out a new bait.  He caught a few this morning, but it apparently wasn't what he was looking for.

I'm settling in for my sunset watch.

These are the two palm trees next to our RV (on the left)

Loving it here!  We watch the sunset with some of the other residents on the dock that is behind our RV, then went to the Beach Bar down the road again.  Fixing dinner is over-rated.
