Our first real visitor!

Today, Brad's cousin Laura drove over from Augusta to visit us.  Lots of fun!  We talked, went to lunch at the 1800 Mexican restaurant where Brad and I have eaten before, and then took a stroll up the street to look through the old Windsor Hotel.  That was really interesting.

This is a photo from their website... We explored the first three floors.  In the round turret part, on the second floor, is the Carter Presidential suite, and on the third floor is a honeymoon suite.  How cool!  Lots of really beautiful architecture and details, too!

We had time to come back "home" and talk for awhile.  It was fun to listen to Brad and Laura's memories of summer vacations spent together, and to listen to them catch up on their kids.

This afternoon, there has been a helicopter circling around near us at the park.  I've noticed planes flying over us occasionally, so I'm hoping this is someone taking helicopter lessons, and not someone looking for some bad guy on the ground!

Royals baseball is on tonight... Hopefully the last game of the ALCS!
