Bisti/De-Na-Zin Wilderness

Our friends Bruce and Roberta arrived last night, and plans were to go to Mesa Verde today.  However, the weather forecast changed our plans for us.  It was supposed to rain to the north of us, so we headed south to see the Bisti/De-Na-Zin Wilderness.  There's supposed to be all kinds of cool rock formations out there, but with it being a 45,000 acre area, we had a little trouble finding what we wanted to see.  The "wilderness" part is the absolute truth, though.  No signs directing you anywhere but the 2 parking areas, and then you just wander.  We did figure out, late in the afternoon, which way we needed to hike, and Brad and I may go back another time to check it out.

We did see some awesome landscape, though.

After resting up a bit from our hiking, we all went out to Rubio's for dinner.  Yummy Mexican food!  Brad and I have been eyeing the restaurant in our walks, so we had to try it out once Bruce and Roberta got here.

Cheers to good friends!
Three of us had fajitas... Brad had tacos.
Roberta likes the beef and cheese variety of fajita.
All the yummy fajita fixins.
Brad's tacos.
Cheese!
Leftovers....
We're all ready to crash tonight.  Mesa Verde tomorrow!
