Haggard's RV Campground, West Pueblo CO

We left Holcomb about 8:45 this morning, after getting to hang out with Jackson a little bit this morning, and having him help us close up the RV.  We had planned on getting to our park about 2:00, but forgot we'd cross another time zone, so we got here about an hour early.  It was a pretty easy drive, being able to travel on US 50 the whole way from Holcomb to the RV park.

A new state added to the map!
Our first peek at the mountains while still on the road.
The views from our park.
Our RV friends Bruce and Roberta had already checked in by the time we arrived, so after we all got some lunch, we hung out a bit and made evening plans, and then Brad and I crashed for a bit.  Feeling refreshed a little later, we all headed into Cañon City for dinner at a Mexican restaurant, and then the Dwelle's wanted to show us Skyline Drive.  It's not something we would have found on our own, but it's a high ridge that rises above Cañon City with a tiny little road on it.

The view on the way up.
The road on the way up.  We are pulled over at one of the few parking areas.
Looking over the edge.
Over the other side.
The road is very close to the edge!
This was very cool!
Do you see them? The big bumps protruding from the rock.
Finishing up the drive.
We came back to our park in time to take in the sunset.
Relaxing and watching Olympics are on the agenda for the rest of the evening.
