What a difference a day makes!

Wow, yesterday it was already 65 degrees when I got up, on its way to 73 or so, and sunshine, later in the day.  By late afternoon, a cold front had blown in.  And the winds!  Oh goodness!  This morning was a whole different story from yesterday.  39 degrees when I got up, with wind chills at 29.  The winds obviously have not let up.

Looking forward to our friends Bruce and Roberta being in Galveston later today, if they don't blow off into the Gulf on the drive here.  We met Bruce and Roberta here at Jamaica Beach last year, when they were just newbies at this full time RV life.  We really hit it off with them, and enjoyed several activities together.  They'll be staying at a different park in Galveston this time, but we've made plans for dinner tonight.  Brad was going to smoke a roast for tonight, but with 40 mph gusts, that's just not going to happen. So out to dinner it is!  That'll be fun, because that's probably going to be the only time I leave the RV today!

This afternoon we went and visited with Jane and Gerry, a couple from Canada that we met at the covered dish dinner last night.  We really hit it off with them last night, and he plays guitar too, so he and Brad wanted to talk music stuff, and Jane and I compared parks we've been to, and people we've met, and different campers/RVs that we've looked at or owned.

We met up with Bruce and Roberta tonight at Waterman's, a really nice restaurant that Brad and I found last year.  The manager waited on us, and he was really funny, and fun to talk with.  I meant to get a picture of us all, but I forgot, we were so busy talking and catching up!

Roberta brought me a couple of gifts... So sweet!  She makes these pillows out of shirts, and she made this one to match our RV.  So cute!
And somehow she figured out that I kind of like the Royals!
We're getting together here at our RV for Brad's smoked pork roast tomorrow evening, since the winds are supposed to be almost non-existent tomorrow.
