Fashion and music

This morning Peggy and I went to a luncheon and fashion show at the Caribe, put on by the local Chico's store.  The models were women who stay at the Caribe and signed up last year to participate. The fashions were classy casual, easy to pack and wear beachside clothes.
I was all over that leopard print raincoat!

After crashing for a bit this afternoon, Brad and I headed over to the FloraBama for open mic night.  We saw some really good singers.

This is Cathy.  She kind of emceed the whole night, as well as singing.
This is Leon.  He played with several different acts.  He was really good.  We got used to hearing, "Take it away, Leon!"
This guy could sing, and play harmonica and guitar at the same time.
We really enjoyed all the singers.  This group was probably my favorite.
Brad really liked this guy.  He sang original songs.
A couple of others.
This is Ross.  He was obviously known by the locals, and was promised a song at the end.  He and Cathy and another guy did a mean rendition of Janis Joplin's Oh Lord Won't You Buy Me a Mercedes Benz.
Fun evening!
The Smokin' Elvises were playing next, and I would have loved to hear them again, but we both were feeling pretty good today, finally, and didn't want to push it.  Another night.

We also had a chance of rain all day today, and it just started sprinkling about 10 minutes after we got home.  Another good reason to turn in early!
