Last day in Breaux Bridge

This morning Brad and I went into town to just wander around, and see the bridge up close.  We stopped by the Visitors' Center to see if there was anything we missed, and apparently Peggy and Ted did a good job of giving us the full Breaux Bridge experience, because we had been to all the places she suggested!

Up close view of the bridge.
The water under the bridge is Bayou Teche.  It also runs right beside our RV park.
A view of the bridge and bayou from the park.
There were several park benches and plaques that told the evolution of the current bridge.
This is one of the earlier bridges, that now is a kind of pier (or maybe a bandstand?) along the bayou.

Love all the live oaks and Spanish moss!
We're just chilling out for the rest of the day, and looking forward to the leftover gumbo that Peggy left for us, for supper tonight.
Yum!
I'll probably add a little of this... And a few extra napkins, to mop the forehead!
Then off to Orange Beach/Pensacola tomorrow!
